Short-term Internship in Advanced Counselling Techniques (12 Hours)
The purpose of this internship is to equip participants with advanced counseling skills by integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application. It is designed to familiarize attendees with sophisticated therapeutic methods and teach them how to analyze and approach complex cases using various advanced therapeutic perspectives. Through engaging in case studies, discussions, activities, and role-playing, participants will gain a deeper understanding of advanced principles, techniques, and strategies essential for effective counseling practice.
Topics Covered
- Internal Family Systems: It introduces participants to the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model, a therapeutic approach that views the mind as composed of multiple sub-personalities or “parts.” Participants will learn how to help clients understand and heal their internal systems, promoting self-leadership and harmony among their inner parts.
- Solution Focused Behavioural Therapy – It focuses on Solution Focused Behavioural Therapy (SFBT), a goal-directed collaborative approach that concentrates on solutions rather than problems. Participants will learn techniques to help clients envision and achieve their desired outcomes, leveraging their strengths and resources.
- Emotion Focused Technique – This session explores the Emotion Focused Technique (EFT), a therapeutic approach that helps clients become aware of and transform their emotional responses. Participants will learn how to guide clients in accessing and processing emotions to foster emotional healing and growth.
- Interpersonal Therapy: This session delves into Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), an evidence-based approach that focuses on improving interpersonal relationships and social functioning.
